Job summary

Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) invites applications for a Technical Officer in a regional laboratory setting. You will contribute to a high-quality pathology service, applying your technical expertise across research, operations and project work, and prepare clear reports to support patient care.

You will work with a supportive team, lead minor technical projects as needed and receive training across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in a relevant laboratory setting.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Able to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, multidisciplinary pathology services in a regional lab.
• Lead small technical projects and provide supervision when required.
• Assess equipment, procedures and results and prepare clear reports.
• Follow instructions and communicate effectively within a team.
