Job summary

Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is seeking a Technical Officer for SA Pathology in the Victor Harbor region. You will deliver a high-quality, multidisciplinary pathology service, applying your technical expertise across research, operational and project work to support safe, reliable lab processes.

You’ll work independently and may lead minor projects, supervise within the team, assess equipment and report findings to drive safe, effective laboratory services for patient care.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in a relevant laboratory setting.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Able to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, multidisciplinary pathology service within a regional laboratory.
• Lead minor technical projects and provide supervision within the team.
• Assess equipment, procedures, processes and results; prepare clear reports and recommendations.
