Job summary

SA Health is seeking a Clinical Services Director for SA Pathology Statewide in SA. Based at SA Pathology, Frome Road, Adelaide, the role leads clinical direction, governance and quality across pathology services with a statewide remit.

Central Adelaide Local Health Network - Clinical Services Director, SA Pathology Statewide - SA. Salary: MD2 - $243,212-$320,467 p.a. + Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits. Location: SA Pathology, Frome Road, Adelaide SA 5000. Permanent Full Time - 3 Year Contract.

About the role

Lead the clinical direction of SA Pathology as Clinical Service Director and play a pivotal role in shaping safe, high-quality pathology services across South Australia. Providing executive-level clinical and strategic leadership, you'll oversee clinical governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement across this statewide service. Working collaboratively with the Executive Director, SA Pathology and senior leaders across SA Health, you'll ensure services maintain the highest standards of clinical care, diagnostic integrity, statutory compliance and patient safety across public, private and community settings. As a respected clinical leader, you'll guide Clinical Directors and senior scientific, quality and patient services leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and excellence. You'll build influential partnerships across metropolitan and regional health networks, professional bodies and key stakeholder organisations, providing expert advice that informs contemporary pathology practice and service reform. With the opportunity to maintain a consultant-level clinical caseload, this influential role combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership to help shape the future of pathology services and improve outcomes for communities across South Australia.
