Job summary

Barwon Health seeks a clinical leader to provide oversight and hands-on operational management of Pathology services. You will guide leadership and development across the pathology program, ensuring guideline-based practice and robust governance.

You will coordinate guideline development, drive evidence-based, consumer-centred care, and maintain timely, accurate work aligned with Barwon Health policies while communicating with the Pathology Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) or relevant tertiary qualification in science, biomedical science, or medical laboratory science.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence with extensive experience in the clinical setting.
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Job description

You will be working in conjunction with and under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer and Pathology Program Manager to Provide oversight, operational management, leadership and development in the delivery of Pathology services to Barwon Health.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight, operational management, leadership and development in the delivery of Pathology services to Barwon Health.
• Coordinate the development, review and implementation of clinical guidelines and procedures located on Clinical Practice on the document control system.
• Ensure documented processes and procedures include multidisciplinary consultation and are evidence based with a strong focus on consumer centred care.
• Ensure accurate, timely completion of work in line with Barwon Health policies, while maintaining regular communication with the Pathology Program Manager.

What you need
