Qualifications

• Previous exposure to a laboratory or healthcare environment preferred
• Certificate in pathology or diploma in laboratory skills/des techniques desirable
• High accuracy and strong time management required
• Ability to follow structured procedures and maintain quality standards

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and process specimens accurately
• Register specimens into laboratory systems
• Prepare and dispatch specimens to core laboratories within required timeframes
• Manage enquiries via phone and shared mailboxes
• Coordinate urgent specimen handling and courier collections
• Maintain laboratory records, storage and filing
• Participate in routine quality activities and follow laboratory procedures
• Ensure compliance with WHS policies and maintain a safe working environment
