Job summary

Healius is seeking a Pathology Courier in Traralgon for part-time permanent work. You will pick up and transport pathology samples, vaccines and related materials across medical centres, labs and hospitals, handling 30+ stops daily with attention to confidentiality.

You will work varied shifts, including after-hours, weekends and public holidays, with a focus on safe, efficient delivery and accurate documentation. Training is provided, and a clear pathway for skill development is offered.

Qualifications

• Valid open Australian driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Willing to work rostered weekends and public holidays.
• Provide evidence of immunisation requirements including Hepatitis B.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Able to manage up to 30 stops per day.
• Able to lift up to 10–15 kg.
• Follow instructions and use initiative to make decisions.
• Previous courier experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Pick-up and delivery of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood products, X-rays, Vaccines and clinical waste to and from referring customers.
• Liaise between Referring Medical Practitioners and the Medical Liaison Officer regarding store orders.
• Prepare and deliver reports and stock control in the main laboratory.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity.
• Follow operating procedures to complete correct specimen coding documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Policies, Work Health and Safety and Quality Assurance processes.
