Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is seeking enthusiastic Pathology Collectors to join our Patient Services Team in Kogarah and surrounding areas in NSW. You will collect blood and non-blood samples, perform basic tests such as ECG, and ensure samples are properly labelled while guiding patients through sampling procedures.

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is an established and well-respected pathology practice offering comprehensive, high-quality pathology across NSW and north-west Victoria. We are seeking enthusiastic Pathology Collectors to join our vibrant Patient Services Team. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients including conducting basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring

Following strict guidelines and procedures to ensure all samples are accurately labelled

Guiding patients or caregivers on sampling procedures

Preparing specimens for transportation to the laboratory

We offer a comprehensive training program suitable for medical/health science students wishing to gain valuable experience in a clinical environment whilst studying. You will learn high quality patient care and valuable clinical skills in a fast paced, flexible working environment.

Is open to working a minimum of 20 hours on a scheduled roster, Monday to Sunday

Prior to commencement, all candidates must provide documentary evidence of the following:

Please note, our program requires a non-negotiable minimum 20 hour per week commitment.
