Job summary

Laverty Pathology in Port Macquarie region is seeking a Pathology Collector for permanent part-time work (30 hours/week). The role involves collecting blood and other samples with care, delivering a calm, professional patient experience and accurate specimen handling.

Hours are 7am–4pm, Mon–Fri, with a rotating Saturday shift 8am–12pm. A 6-week paid training program via Healius Academy supports your start and ongoing development within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential.
• Background in healthcare or strong customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples with care, accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes
• Support smooth daily operations across the collection site
