Job summary

Healius Laverty Pathology in Canberra invites applications for a Pathology Collector (Permanent Part Time, 28 hours per week). You will collect blood and other samples at the Duntroon site, delivering a friendly, professional experience to patients.

We value empathy, clear communication and careful adherence to procedures. Training is provided through Healius Academy, with full-time hours during the first two weeks and then a minimum of 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pathology collection experience is desirable but not essential.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in healthcare or customer-facing roles is valued.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples with care, accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes
• Support smooth daily operations across the collection site
