Job summary

Australian Clinical Labs is seeking a part-time Pathology Collector in Rutherford, NSW. You will collect blood and other samples, and support the care and processing of pathology specimens at our collection centres.

The role requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to communicate with doctors, patients and colleagues. A valid driver's license and rights to work in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection or relevant industry experience.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and time management.
• Sound clinical knowledge and ability to work with clinicians and patients.
• Eligible to work in Australia and hold a current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples from patients.
• Care for and process pathology specimens.
• Complete paperwork and ensure records are accurate and timely.

Job description

We are seeking a part-time Pathology Collector to join our dedicated team within Rutherford, NSW. This position will suit self-motivated individuals with a high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a strong focus on outstanding customer service.

Specific duties include:

• Collection of blood and other samples from patients.
• Attending to the care, storage and processing of pathology specimens.
• Attend to paperwork and associated clerical duties to ensure all details are correct in a timely manner.

Skills and experience:

• Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection or relevant industry experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills both in person and over the telephone.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Sound clinical knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the collections team, doctors, patients and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work alone and participate in weekday and weekend shifts acrossany of our collection centres.
• A current Driver's License.
• Rights to work in Australia.
