Job summary

Australian Clinical Labs in Goulburn, NSW, is seeking a part-time Pathology Collector to join our dedicated team. You will collect blood and other samples from patients, and ensure proper care, storage and processing of pathology specimens.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail and excellent communication with the collections team, doctors and patients. You will work weekday and weekend shifts across our collection centres, with a current driver's license and rights to

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection or relevant industry experience.
• Excellent customer service skills both in person and over the telephone.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong clinical knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the collections team, doctors, patients and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work alone and participate in weekday and weekend shifts across collection centres.
• A current Driver's License.
• Rights to work in Australia.

Job description

Specific duties include:

• Collection of blood and other samples from patients.
• Attending to the care, storage and processing of pathology specimens.
• Attend to paperwork and associated clerical duties to ensure all details are correct in a timely manner.

Skills and experience:

• Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection or relevant industry experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills both in person and over the telephone.

• Sound clinical knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the collections team, doctors, patients and other stakeholders.
