Job summary

Dorevitch Pathology is seeking a Pathology Collector for shifts across the Mornington Peninsula, including Frankston Hospital. This perm part-time reliever position requires 28 hours per week with varied weekly schedules.

You will collect blood and other samples, ensure patient comfort and maintain meticulous records, contributing to timely diagnosis and patient care. The role offers opportunities to work within a supportive team, with ongoing training and a focus on excellent patient

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is required.
• Experience in pathology collection or nursing background is beneficial.
• WWCC and immunisation evidence is required.

Relieving shifts can vary between 7am to 6pm.

About The Role

As a Pathology Collector, you will collect blood and non-blood samples while delivering a positive, professional and caring experience to every patient. You’ll play an important role in ensuring samples are handled accurately and efficiently to support timely diagnosis and care.

About You

Due to operational requirements for this collection centre, we are seeking experienced Pathology Collectors with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection. We also welcome applications from registered nurses or nursing students who have experience with phlebotomy.

Qualifications And Experience

Requirements

• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
• Ability to provide evidence of immunisation requirements including Hepatitis B

Training

This role requires completion of a 6-week paid training program designed to build the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed in collections. This requires a commitment to full-time hours for the first 2 weeks, followed by a minimum of 25 hours per week. Training is delivered internally as part of our Healius Academy onboarding program and may be accelerated based on previous experience.
