Job summary

Healius is seeking a Pathology Collector at the Albury collection site to join our team. You will collect blood and other samples, ensuring accuracy and compassionate patient care, while supporting daily operations and keeping precise records.

The role includes a 6-week paid training program through Healius Academy, with full-time hours for the first two weeks and a minimum of 25 hours weekly thereafter. Prior pathology collection and nursing experience are valued.

About The Role

As a Pathology Collector, you will collect blood and non-blood samples while delivering a positive, professional and caring experience to every patient. You’ll play an important role in ensuring samples are handled accurately and efficiently to support timely diagnosis and care.

About You

Due to operational requirements for this collection centre, we are seeking experienced Pathology Collectors with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection. We also welcome applications from registered nurses or nursing students who have experience with phlebotomy.

• Previous experience in nursing

Requirements

• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement


• Ability to provide evidence of immunisation requirements including Hepatitis B

Training

This role requires completion of a 6-week paid training program designed to build the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed in collections. This requires a commitment to full-time hours for the first 2 weeks, followed by a minimum of 25 hours per week. Training is delivered internally as part of our Healius Academy onboarding program and may be accelerated based on previous experience.
