Job summary

Healius is seeking a Pathology Collector to support clinics in Warrnambool, Portland and Hamilton, delivering a professional, patient‑focused experience while collecting blood and other samples. The role covers up to 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts from early morning to late afternoon.

You must hold a Certificate III in Pathology Collection; WWCC and Hepatitis B immunisation are required. Experience in nursing is welcomed, and comprehensive training is provided through Healius

About The Role

As a Pathology Collector, you will collect blood and non-blood samples while delivering a positive, professional and caring experience to every patient. You’ll play an important role in ensuring samples are handled accurately and efficiently to support timely diagnosis and care.

About You

Due to operational requirements for this collection centre, we are seeking experienced Pathology Collectors with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection. We also welcome applications from registered nurses or nursing students who have experience with phlebotomy.

• Previous experience in pathology collection
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection
• Previous experience in nursing

Requirements

• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
• Ability to provide evidence of immunisation requirements including Hepatitis B

Training

This role requires completion of a 6-week paid training program designed to build the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed in collections. This requires a commitment to full-time hours for the first 2 weeks, followed by a minimum of 25 hours per week. Training is delivered internally as part of our Healius Academy onboarding program and may be accelerated based on previous experience.
