Job summary

The Lune Co in Sydney is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to join our leadership team, spanning Rosebery and CBD kitchens. This role suits a passionate hospitality professional with strong pastry knowledge and proven leadership.

You will act as second in command, contribute hands-on pastry production, train and coach staff, assist with recruitment and rosters, and uphold food safety and kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• Has 2+ years leadership experience in a kitchen environment with strong culinary skills.
• Demonstrates ability to guide teams in a high-performance kitchen.
• Excellent communication and team-coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as second in command across the Sydney region and support the Head Chef on BOH operations.
• Hands-on pastry production and adherence to recipes and schedules across Sydney venues.
• Train, coach and performance-manage team members.
• Support recruitment, rostering and appraisals with the Head Chef
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation.
• Foster a positive, collaborative kitchen culture.
