Job summary

St Vincent's Care Services in Queensland seeks a compassionate Pastoral & Spiritual Care Practitioner to join our Maroochydore and/or Gympie aged care services. You will provide professional pastoral and spiritual care to residents, families, staff, and support networks within a holistic care team.

You will assess and prioritise spiritual needs, develop person-centred care plans, provide religious resources, and support emotional wellbeing with respectful, culturally sensitive care.

Qualifications

• Pastoral and spiritual care experience in aged care or healthcare settings.
• Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams with compassion and respect.
• Willingness to obtain required screenings and background checks.

About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a compassionate Pastoral & Spiritual Care Practitioner to join our Maroochydore and/or Gympie Aged care service.

You will provide professional pastoral and spiritual care to residents, families, support networks and staff, supporting the holistic approach to care that is central to St Vincent's. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team alongside other healthcare professionals, you will focus on nurturing the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of residents and those important to them.

Opportunities may be available at our Maroochydore and/or Gympie Aged care services. Each location provides a welcoming and supportive environment where residents and staff can thrive.

• Respect and sensitivity in ministry to persons of various religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, Life Philosophies and Faith Traditions
• Attainment of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) qualification, or equivalent training in counselling, theology, psychology or equivalent or a combination of study and work experience (essential)
• Willing to apply for a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (essential)
• Willing to apply for a NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
