Job summary

St Peter Claver College in Riverview is seeking a passionate Middle Leader (Pastoral) to provide strong pastoral leadership, support student wellbeing and engagement, and contribute to a positive and inclusive college community.

The role starts January 2027, with 30 hours per week and a salary range of $86,601–$124,725 plus Middle Leader Allowance Tier 3 and 12.75% Super, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in pastoral care aligned with school ethos.
• Ability to monitor holistic student development.
• Knowledge of behavior management to foster safe learning.
• Experience organizing camps, retreats, or enrichment events.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and sharing insights.
• Strong financial management, including budget planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in pastoral care for a designated group of students.
• Supervise teachers involved in student pastoral care.
• Oversee induction for new teachers in your area of responsibility.
• Monitor students' holistic development and address concerns.
• Coordinate staff efforts focused on student welfare.
• Manage student behaviour in line with school policies.
