Job summary

St Mary MacKillop College in Canberra invites applications for a Pastoral Care Coordinator to support student wellbeing and holistic development within Year cohorts.

In collaboration with the Assistant Principal Pastoral Care and the Director of Student Wellbeing, you will lead a team of Pastoral Care Teachers to design, implement and evaluate an innovative pastoral program aligned with school priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching required.
• WWVP clearance required.
• TQI registration required.
• Accreditation per Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy.

About the Role

The Pastoral Care Coordinator is responsible for the wellbeing of students in their year cohort. They work in collaboration with the Assistant Principal Pastoral Care and Director of Student Wellbeing, and in partnership with other middle leaders in the College, to oversee the holistic development of students in their care with the aim of improving each student’s academic growth. The Pastoral Care Coordinator leads a team of Pastoral Care Teachers in the development, implementation and evaluation of an innovative Pastoral Program covering content not in the academic curriculum.
