Job summary

Regis Resources Ltd is seeking an experienced Paste Fill Supervisor to join its underground mining team in Laverton. The role involves supervising paste plant operations and underground paste fill activities, ensuring safety, quality and production targets are met on an 8:6 FIFO roster.

The successful candidate will coordinate crews, manage paste fill operations, and drive continuous improvement within a high-performance mining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in underground hard rock mining and backfill/paste fill operations.
• Ability to lead and coordinate paste fill crews and contractors.
• Strong safety leadership and incident prevention mindset.
• Proven ability to read procedures, drawings and reticulation layouts.
• Competent in reporting and shift handovers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily paste plant and underground paste fill activities ensuring safety and production targets.
• Coordinate paste fill crews and contractors to meet objectives.
• Operate paste plant for start-up/shutdown, cleaning and fault response as needed.
• Oversee reticulation installation, line flushing, paste wall prep, filling and inspections.
• Monitor delivery of binder and process parameters to meet quality specs.
• Perform risk assessments, pre-starts and workplace inspections.
• Coordinate maintenance and address equipment defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate shift reports and handovers.
• Coach and develop team members to build capability and competency.
• Participate in incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description

The opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Paste Fill Supervisor to join our underground mining team.

Reporting to the Paste Fill Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe and effective supervision of paste plant operations and underground paste fill activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and operational performance.

This role is ideal for a motivated leader with underground mining experience who enjoys coordinating crews, optimising operational performance and driving a strong safety culture.

This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster ex-Perth.

The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include

• Supervising daily paste plant and underground paste fill activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with production schedules
• Coordinating and leading paste fill crews and contractors to achieve operational objectives
• Operating the paste plant when required, including start-up, shutdown, cleaning and basic fault response
• Overseeing underground paste fill activities including reticulation installation, line flushing, paste wall preparation, filling activities and inspections
• Monitoring paste delivery, binder addition and operating parameters to ensure compliance with quality specifications
• Conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments and pre-start meetings
• Coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring equipment defects are identified, reported and addressed
• Maintaining accurate operational records, shift reports and handovers
• Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to build capability and maintain competency
• Participating in incident investigations, continuous improvement initiatives and operational optimisation projects

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

To Be Successful For This Role, You Will Have

• Previous experience in underground hard rock mining, paste fill/backfill operations, process plant operations or a similar supervisory position
• Demonstrated experience operating a paste plant and undertaking underground paste fill activities
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate crews, allocate work and provide clear direction
• A sound understanding of underground mining hazards, risk management and safety systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Experience with Microsoft Office and computer-based reporting systems
• The ability to read and interpret procedures, drawings, plans and reticulation layouts
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant site-based licences and competencies, or a willingness to work towards the applicable statutory supervisor requirements
