Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking an Underground Paste Crew Lead Hands for the Bellevue Gold Mine. The role is full-time, FIFO from Perth with an 8/6 or 7/7 roster. You’ll support safe, productive underground paste and infrastructure operations and contribute to the mine's long-term growth.

You will mentor crew members, coordinate paste line works, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Paste Crew Operator or leadership role in mining.
• Relevant operating tickets and licences including leadership training.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Commitment to safety and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate paste crew to deliver underground paste and infrastructure operations safely.
• Ensure labour, equipment and materials meet targets and safety requirements.
• Inspect underground work areas for safety and quality compliance.
• Mentor and coach crew to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate installation, maintenance and repair of underground services and infrastructure.
• Oversee underground paste operations including pipe installation and paste wall construction.
• Support broader underground mining operations as needed.
• Demonstrated experience in paste crew roles or mining leadership.

Job description

Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth.

As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Underground Paste Crew Leadhing Hands to join the team on a full-time basis, working a 8/6 or a 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth. These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.

Your role will support underground production within a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

• Assist the Supervisor to coordinate Paste Crew personnel in the safe and efficient delivery of daily underground paste and infrastructure operations.
• Ensured allocated labour, equipment, and materials meet operational targets and site safety requirements.
• Inspect underground work areas to ensure compliance with site safety, operational, and quality standards.
• Mentor, coach, and support crew members to drive operational excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground services and infrastructure including paste lines, ventilation, pumps, water, and air services.
• Oversee underground paste operations including pipe installation, welding, paste flow monitoring, paste wall construction, and remote-operated equipment infrastructure.
• Support broader underground mining operations as required, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.
• Demonstrated experience working as a Paste Crew Operator or leadership role within mining industry
• Relevant operating tickets and licencesincluding leadership training
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• Have a high level of experience and knowledge in training to other crew members.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to site procedures
