Job summary

Auto Corner is seeking an energetic and reliable Parts Store Person to join our Mackay team. The role focuses on the smooth operation of the parts warehouse, including receiving, picking, checking, and dispatching automotive parts.

The successful applicant will have warehousing experience, a valid manual driver’s licence, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately picking, packing, and dispatching outgoing parts orders.
• Receiving and unloading incoming freight, verifying stock quantities.
• Sorting, binning, and putting away new stock in designated locations.
• Completing local parts deliveries to trade customers efficiently and safely.
• Planning and optimising daily delivery routes and schedules.
• Participating in regular stocktakes, cycle counts, and inventory control processes.
• Processing returned goods and handling parts credits accurately.
• Utilising warehouse management and inventory systems for basic data entry and stock lookup.
• Liaising with internal departments to ensure timely parts delivery to service workshop and front counter staff.
• Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse in OH&S standards.

THE POSITION

Auto Corner is seeking an energetic and reliable Parts Store Person to join our team immediately.

The primary focus of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of our parts warehouse, carrying out comprehensive store person duties including the accurate receiving, picking, checking, and dispatching of automotive parts.

The ideal candidate will be a professional, efficient team player who consistently promotes a positive brand image and takes pride in maintaining a highly organised workspace.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Accurately picking, checking, packing, and dispatching outgoing parts orders.
• Receiving and unloading incoming freight, verifying stock quantities against delivery dockets.
• Sorting, binning, and putting away new stock in designated warehouse locations.
• Completing local parts deliveries to trade customers efficiently and safely.
• Planning and optimising daily delivery routes and schedules.
• Participating in regular stocktakes, cycle counts, and inventory control processes.
• Processing returned goods and handling parts credits accurately.
• Utilising warehouse management and inventory systems for basic data entry and stock lookup.
• Liaising seamlessly with internal departments, ensuring the service workshop and front counter staff receive parts without delay.
• Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment in strict accordance with OH&S standards.

The Successful Applicant Will Have:

• Proven experience in a warehousing, store person, or delivery driver role (automotive parts experience is highly regarded).
• A current and valid manual Australian driver’s licence (Essential).
• A valid Forklift Licence (Preferred but not essential).
• High attention to detail and accuracy when handling complex stock numbers.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn internal inventory software.
• The physical capacity to perform general manual handling and lifting tasks safely.
