Orange Sky Australia is seeking a proactive fundraiser/business development professional to drive new corporate partnerships and sponsorships. You will pitch to executives, craft tailored proposals, and manage the sales pipeline to convert opportunities into sustainable revenue for community impact.

Reporting to the Senior Partnerships Manager, this role requires agility, sector outreach, and collaboration across marketing, operations and fundraising teams to ensure feasible, high-value

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in business development, corporate sales, or proactive fundraising acquisition.
• Proven ability to identify, pitch to, and convert prospects at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business acquisition by targeting corporate sectors and building a strong partner pipeline.
• Lead sales cycles to secure matched funding partners and commercial sponsors.
• Develop tailored proposals and persuasive pitch decks for commercial audiences.
• Manage pipeline and ensure smooth hand-offs to the stewardship team after agreements.

About Orange Sky

Orange Sky exists to support Australians who are facing challenges in their lives, including homelessness, financial hardship, limited access to laundry facilities or temporary displacement due to a natural disaster.We are committed to being there when it’s needed most, offering free laundry services, warm showers and friendly chats with our volunteers. The Fundraising and Partnerships Team powers this mission by inspiring generosity and building meaningful relationships with individuals, communities and organisations. Their work ensures that every wash, shower and conversation is backed by the resources and partnerships needed to keep Orange Sky vans and volunteers on the road.

The Role

This position is perfect for a proactive, target and purpose driven fundraiser who thrives on sharing the story of our organisation and building new prospects. This full-time, permanent role reports to our Senior Partnerships Manager and is dedicated to driving new business acquisition and commercial sponsorships for Orange Sky Australia. In a role where agility is required and no two days look the same, the focus will be on sector-aligned outreach, high-value pitching, and closing partnership agreements, you will turn growth strategies into sustainable corporate revenue that expands our community impact.

What you’ll be doing (in a nutshell)

• Driving New Business Acquisition: Proactively identifying, qualifying, and pitching to target corporate sectors to build a robust pipeline of high-value partners.
• Securing Campaign Sponsors: Leading sales cycles to secure matched funding partners and commercial sponsors for key giving days and public appeals.
• Crafting Tailored Proposals: Developing bespoke value propositions and compelling pitch decks that bring Orange Sky’s mission to life for commercial audiences.
• Managing Pipeline & Seamless Hand-offs: Tracking sales metrics in Salesforce and executing smooth account transitions to the stewardship team once agreements are signed.
• Exploring Sector Growth: Identifying market trends, workplace giving initiatives, and commercial opportunities to stay ahead of corporate giving models.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Working closely with marketing, operations, and fundraising teams to align proposals and ensure operational feasibility.

What you bring to the table

• The experience: 3-5+ years in business development, corporate sales, or proactive fundraising acquisition, with a proven track record of converting new prospects.
• Pitching & networking skills: Confident cold-calling, presenting to executives, and engaging senior commercial stakeholders with ease.
• Commercial storytelling: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating complex impact numbers into compelling sales stories.
• Target-driven & analytical mindset: Strong strategic planning and data-savvy pipeline management abilities using tools like Salesforce and Asana.
• Collaborative approach: Adaptable team player who thrives in a values-driven, high-volume environment while navigating complex corporate structures.
• The mindset: A proactive connector with a valid driver’s license who brings genuine energy, initiative, and passion for Orange Sky's mission.
