Job summary

Tamborine Mountain Veterinary Group is seeking a veterinarian for our Pimpama City Veterinary Surgery on a fixed-term maternity leave contract, commencing late December 2026 or early January 2027. This part-time role offers 3 days per week, 8am–6pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, dealing with a varied small animal caseload including occasional sole-charge work.

The ideal candidate holds BVSc and has 3+ years in consult and surgery, with strong teamwork and client rapport skills.

About Us:

Tamborine Mountain Veterinary Group is a well-established and highly regarded veterinary practice that has been proudly serving the local community for many years.

We are part of a group of four clinics located across Tamborine Mountain, Canungra, Yarrabilba, and Pimpama however, this role will be based exclusively at our Pimpama City Veterinary Surgery.

Our clinics are equipped with modern facilities and technology, including IDEXX Laboratories in-house laboratory equipment, dental radiography, ultrasound, and more. We utilise Ezyvet to support efficient, high-quality patient care.

The Role

We are looking for a veterinarian to join our team on a fixed-term maternity leave contract, with the potential for an ongoing opportunity beyond the initial contract.

This is a great opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys a varied small animal caseload and has a strong interest in surgery. The role will include some sole-charge work, with support available from the wider team when needed.

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent recognized in Australia.
• 3+ years' experience in consult and surgery
• Possesses strong organisational and communication skills.
• Is confident in both consults and surgical procedures.
• Values teamwork and client rapport building.
