Job summary

The University of Queensland invites applications for a part-time Centre Coordinator at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience. In this fixed-term role (29 hours), you will provide high-level administrative and communication support to the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Venom Science, connecting academic, clinical and Indigenous partners across Australia.

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant degree in an appropriate discipline area.
• Experience in pharmacology, biochemistry, biomedical science or a related discipline, with experience in a research environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to coordinate complex activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including synthesising complex scientific information.
• Demonstrated understanding of pharmacology and venom science with research coordination ability.
• Experience coordinating scientific meetings and engaging with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day administration for the Centre, supporting the Director, Steering Committee and Workstream Leads.
• Serve as central contact across investigators, Indigenous partners and external stakeholders; support newsletters, website content, presentations.
• Coordinate logistics for training programs, conferences, travel, workshops and mentoring initiatives.
• Support governance through NHMRC reporting, budgeting, purchasing, reimbursements and compliance documentation.
