Job summary

MacKillop Family Services in Batemans Bay is seeking a Carer Recruitment and Development Worker to deliver recruitment, training, assessment and development of carers within a trauma-informed framework.

The role is based in Batemans Bay with travel across Southern NSW. It is a part-time, 3-day-per-week, 12-month contract, offering ongoing career development opportunities and employee support services.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and issues affecting Aboriginal children, youth and families.
• Tertiary qualification in social work or related field.
• Experience in carer recruitment, assessment, training, development and support; or marketing/public relations.
• Ability to build relationships and engage with diverse communities and work in partnership.
• Group work skills and ability to deliver training packages (e.g., Shared Lives).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality carer recruitment, training, assessment and development.
• Collaborate with PSP Foster Care programs and Community Engagement Team.
• Work within a trauma-informed practice framework.
• Travel throughout Southern NSW.
• Part-time role: 3 days per week on a 12-month contract.
