Job summary

The Industry School, Brisbane Campus, is seeking a passionate Teacher Aide to join the Education team. The role is a maximum-term contract working 22.5 hours per week, across three days, until 11 December 2026.

You will provide classroom and learning support, helping students stay engaged and achieve their educational goals. You will collaborate with Teachers, build rapport with students, and assist with lesson materials and activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in classroom or educational settings.
• Passion for helping others and student success.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an Education team.
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Right to work in Australia.
• Advantageous holdings: Cert III/IV and/or First Aid/CPR qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and learning support to students under Teachers' direction.
• Build positive rapport with students to encourage engagement and confidence.
• Identify individual learning needs and collaborate with Teachers to provide appropriate support.
• Assist in preparing learning materials, resources and activities.
• Support supervision of students during activities, events and excursions.
• Maintain student records and assist with learning support administration.
• Support campus activities such as wellbeing days, induction events, open days, graduation.
• Collaborate with the Education team to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
