Job summary

Swan Christian College in Swan Valley, Western Australia, seeks a compassionate Student Services Officer for a part-time, permanent role commencing 20 January 2027. The position is 0.8851 FTE (37.5 hours per week across 42 weeks per year) with 10 weeks of paid leave.

Key duties include delivering first aid, acting as a front-line contact, maintaining medical records, coordinating attendance and providing admin support.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Christian faith and active church involvement.
• Ability to work in a team and to use computers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to building strong relationships with students, staff and the wider community.
• Willingness to obtain Working with Children Check, Department of Education Criminal History Clearance, and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first aid care, including initial assessment, treatment and referral of students as required.
• Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors; respond professionally in person and on the phone.
• Maintain accurate student medical records and consent information for compliance.
• Coordinate attendance processes (absences, late arrivals, departures).
• Maintain first aid facilities, equipment, supplies and staff stationery.
• Provide administrative and data-entry support in line with College policies.
