Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator for Retirement Living in Canberra. The role focuses on designing engaging wellbeing programs, coordinating activities, and building strong resident relationships to maintain independence and community connectedness.

You will support residents with varying needs, including dementia and mobility challenges, while working with village teams to deliver meaningful experiences and inclusive activities.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working in aged care.
• Experience supporting people living with dementia and end-of-life care.
• Experience coordinating wellbeing, lifestyle or leisure programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Current First Aid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Designing and coordinating meaningful wellbeing and lifestyle programs.
• Planning and facilitating group and individual activities, events and outings.
• Building strong relationships with residents and understanding their interests and wellbeing goals.
• Conducting regular wellbeing and welfare check-ins.
• Supporting residents with varying needs, including those living with dementia, cognitive decline or mobility limitations.
• Helping residents maintain connections with family, community, cultural and faith-based networks.
• Working collaboratively with village and care teams.
• Building relationships with community organisations and service providers to enhance wellbeing programs.
