Fairvale High School in Sydney Region is seeking a School Learning Support Officer on a part-time 0.600 FTE basis. The role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs under a teacher's direction, contributing to student welfare and wellbeing, and working across streams such as vision and bilingual support.

The ideal candidate will have a Working with Children Check, relevant health and first aid training, and be willing to undertake required, school-based training.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check Clearance required.
• Mandatory training by the Department of Education.
• Willingness to undertake first aid training relevant to the role.
• Administration of Medications training available based on student needs.
• Health support training provided based on student needs.

Responsabilités

• Provide support for students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments under teacher supervision.
• Support student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
• Assist across streams/settings such as pre-school, vision, hearing and bilingual where applicable.
• Perform duties in alignment with general School Learning Support Officer responsibilities.
