Healius, Australia's leading healthcare group, invites applications for a Laboratory Assistant in Joondalup. This part-time role (15 hours per week, including weekends) offers structured training, a supportive team and exposure to routine specimen processing and data entry in a busy pathology service.

Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, good communication and the ability to work calmly under pressure while following procedures and WHS policies.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling specimens and data.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow procedures.
• Willingness to learn and follow WHS policies and lab protocols.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and process specimens with high accuracy; data entry and registration into systems.
• Prepare and dispatch specimens to core laboratories within required timeframes.
• Assist with enquiries via phone and shared mailboxes and coordinate courier collections.
• Maintain laboratory records, storage and filing; participate in routine quality activities.
