Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist (Level 1/2) for the Brighter Beginnings Preschool Team. You will contribute to developmental surveillance screening across Early Childhood Education and Care settings, working within an interdisciplinary group to support children and families.

The role involves screening, assessment and referral activities in a structured service model, with opportunities for clinical collaboration and group-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy eligible for membership of the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in assessment, goal development and evaluation with a client- and family-centred approach.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and manage workload in a structured, high-volume service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver developmental surveillance screening for preschool-aged children.
• Conduct screening assessments and observe developmental indicators.
• Contribute to outcome classification and referral pathways within scope of practice.
• When required, provide timely clinical assessment and group-based intervention for children identified through developmental surveillance.
