Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Brighter Beginnings Health and Development Checks Preschool Team within the NSLHD CYF Community Health Service. You will support developmental surveillance screening for preschool children across Northern Sydney, collaborating with educators and families.

Role requires current AHPRA registration, paediatric experience, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA is required.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and experience in Child and Family Health and/or Paediatric nursing.
• Experience with preschool-age child health and development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver developmental surveillance screening for preschool-aged children in Early Childhood Education and Care services.
• Conduct screening assessments and observe developmental indicators.
• Provide guidance to families and educators on accessing Child and Family Health services.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to referral pathways.
• Support pre-screening, screening, and post-screening phases within the service model.
