Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning is seeking an Occupational Therapist in Hurstville, NSW to support Southern NSW & ACT services. This part-time role focuses on early intervention, inclusion and building educator capability within everyday learning environments.

You’ll work alongside educators, families and health professionals to enhance outcomes for children aged 0–5, coaching staff and developing sustainable strategies beyond individual therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Tertiary OT qualification and AHPRA registration.
• Strong understanding of child development from birth to 5 years.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and coaching with educators and families.

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-informed approaches to improve outcomes for children and families in early learning settings.
• Observe, identify and support children’s learning, development and wellbeing with educators.
• Coach and mentor educators to build inclusive practices and participation.
• Promote inclusion and support children’s occupational performance in everyday environments.
• Collaborate with families to support inclusion and access to services.
• Strengthen referral pathways with local services and partners.
• Deliver professional development, workshops and coaching sessions for educators.
• Collaborate with families, Allied Health professionals and community partners.
