Job summary

SA Health’s Lyell McEwin Hospital in Elizabeth Vale is seeking an experienced Midwifery Educator on a temporary part-time basis (16 hours per week) until 28 April 2028. The role focuses on designing and delivering midwifery education aligned with evidence and clinical standards.

You will support orientation, preceptorship and ongoing competency development of midwifery staff and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to translate learning needs into practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Substantial clinical midwifery experience across maternity settings.
• Ability to facilitate adult learning in clinical environments.
• Familiarity with SA Health policy frameworks and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate midwifery education programs aligned with evidence and standards.
• Support orientation, preceptorship and ongoing competency development of midwifery staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify learning needs and translate into education solutions.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to strengthen maternity care outcomes.
