Job summary

Playgroup NSW is seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Assistant to support marketing, communications, digital engagement and content creation across the organisation. The role is fixed-term, part-time (2 days/week) with a contract until 31 March 2027 and a $40-$45 hourly rate plus super.

This position requires strong writing, social media, Canva and WordPress skills, plus a Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one. Flexible hours and some after-hours may apply.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing or content creation.
• Strong written and verbal communication tailored to diverse audiences.
• Experience creating engaging content for social media, websites and email campaigns.
• Experience using Canva to produce marketing materials and digital assets.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while coordinating with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaborative tools.
• Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support campaigns that promote Playgroup NSW programs and events.
• Create high-quality communications materials across channels.
• Manage digital engagement and social media content.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on campaign performance.
