Job summary

Mercor is seeking 3D artists and video editors for a flexible part‑time role in Sydney. Candidates should have 2–3 years’ professional or freelance experience or be enrolled in postgraduate studies in film, animation, or digital media. You will work on real production workflows on a Mac to benchmark AI models and generate training data.

Immediate start preferred. Tasks include 3D modeling, texturing, animation, and video editing with a focus on quality while maintaining a balanced workload.

Qualifications

• Own a MacBook/Mac with Apple M-series or Intel, macOS 15+ required
• Proficient in Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or After Effects
• Experience in modeling, texturing, animation, editing, color grading, or motion graphics; reel/portfolio is a plus
• Masters studies or 2-3 years of relevant experience plus a Bachelor's from a prestigious institution
• Ability to clearly explain creative decisions; excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real 3D and video editing tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for AI models
• Carry out structured tasks with a focus on quality; this is not a high-pressure internship or full-time consulting role
