Job summary

Mercor seeks civil engineers or architects with 2–3 years of experience or current postgrad students to support a research project with an AI lab. You will work through real design and drafting workflows on your Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

The role is part-time (roughly 10–20 hours per week) and focuses on producing high-quality training data while avoiding high-pressure conditions. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• MacBook/macOS 15+ required; applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Proficiency in Mac-compatible tools (AutoCAD for Mac, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, Rhino).
• Masters studies or 2–3 years of relevant experience + Bachelor's from a prestigious institution.
• Ability to clearly explain design decisions while you work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real civil engineering and architectural tasks on your Mac to generate high-quality training data for advanced AI models.
• Clearly structured responsibilities without high pressure typical of internships.
• Assist with benchmarking AI models by providing real design workflows.
