Job summary

State Sport Centres Trust is seeking a Lifeguard Supervisor for our Aquatic Operations team at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC). The role is part-time (15 hours per week) and focuses on leading lifeguards, ensuring patron safety, and maintaining high facility standards.

You will supervise shifts, coordinate deck operations, and contribute to a positive customer experience across MSAC. This is an ideal step for an experienced lifeguard seeking leadership responsibilities while staying

Qualifications

• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Advanced Resuscitation Certificate.
• Current Employee Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support lifeguards during operational shifts.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of patrons within aquatic facilities.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations and venue procedures.
• Coordinate pool deck operations, lane allocations and aquatic bookings.
• Conduct facility inspections and identify safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Respond to emergencies, incidents and first aid situations as required.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and safety.
• Support the induction and development of new lifeguard staff.
• Complete operational reporting and incident documentation.
• Promote water safety initiatives and educate patrons on safe aquatic behaviours.
• Assist with aquatic event and program setup and delivery.
