Job summary

Department for Education, Children and Young People seeks a Library Assistant to support Libraries Tasmania across Westbury and Deloraine. The role requires delivering quality service to diverse information and recreational needs and building community relationships.

The position is part-time (33.75 hours per fortnight) with weekend shifts, permanent and ongoing, and operates within a child-safe framework. Applicants should have RWVP and Tasmania registration to work with vulnerable people.

Qualifications

• Current Tasmanian RWVP registration with Employment Status.

• Support delivery of quality library services across the Northern Region.
• Develop and implement aspects of Libraries Tasmania services and programs.
• Build and maintain relationships within the community to promote inclusion and lifelong learning.
