Deakin University is seeking a Lecturer in Disability and Inclusion, Education-focused, to contribute to UG/PG teaching at the Melbourne Burwood and Geelong Waterfront Campuses. This part-time, continuing role offers an Education-focused Academic career pathway and a strong emphasis on student-centred teaching.

The successful candidate will lead teaching teams, develop curricula and learning resources, and link teaching with practice to enhance student employability and learning outcomes.

Formación

• PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
• Knowledge of disability and inclusion including international and national policy and practice.
• Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design.
• Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning.
• Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.

Responsabilidades

• Lead unit teaching teams and work collaboratively with other unit teaching teams in the discipline to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources.
• Assist in applying industry, clinical and/or research practice into student learning experiences, success, engagement and resources.
• Maintain deep discipline knowledge which is applied to inform unit design.
• Design collaborative learning opportunities and develop effective assessment tasks at unit level.
• Provide academic support to students within units and guide students to appropriate support services where appropriate.
