Job summary

The Cathedral School of St Anne & St James in Townsville seeks a dedicated Middle School/Senior School Teaching & Learning Assistant to join the Learning Enrichment team. The part-time term-time contract runs 27 January 2027 to 3 December 2027, with hours 8.00am to 3.10pm, Monday to Friday, supporting students with diverse needs.

Under supervision, you will assist with individual and small-group learning, prepare resources, supervise students, and support teachers with admin tasks to ensure

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent experience.
• Current Working with Children Check/Blue Card or eligibility.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• School settings experience and understanding of inclusion are valued.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers to help students achieve learning goals.
• Assist with individual and small-group learning and resource prep.
• Monitor student performance and assist with records and reporting.
• Provide supervision during activities and school events.
• Assist with general admin and resource duties.
