Job summary

Soul Surfing in Port Macquarie, NSW, is seeking an experienced Head Surf Coach / Assistant Manager for a part-time role (18-30hrs). You will deliver high‑quality surf tuition while taking on operational leadership and coordinating coaching programmes for a growing team.

Work both in the water and administratively, ensuring safety, scheduling, client communications and marketing support. A passion for coaching and developing others is essential, with flexibility to work weekends and school

Qualifications

• Proven track record developing surfers across multiple levels.
• Recognised coaching qualifications (ASI or Surfing Australia Level 1).
• Strong leadership and coaching staff supervision.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Excellent communication and water-safety awareness.
• Experience with scheduling, client management and basic administrative tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple coaching sessions and admin tasks.
• Passion for coaching and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Lead coaching sessions for clients of all skill levels.
• Maintain water safety standards and risk assessments.
• Manage coaching schedules, bookings and client communications.
• Mentor junior coaches.
• Oversee equipment and facilities safety.
• Assist in marketing materials and promotions.
• Handle administrative duties and coaching metrics.
