Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council in Windsor, NSW, is seeking a part-time Internal Audit support role, 21 hours per week. The role focuses on proactive collaboration with the Internal Audit Coordinator and promoting strong governance across the organisation.

The successful candidate will bring internal audit experience, risk management knowledge, and excellent communication to meet deadlines while working on governance controls in the public sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal audit with standards and fraud prevention.
• Ability to liaise with internal/external stakeholders and meet deadlines.
• Tertiary qualification in Business Admin, Accounting or related discipline.
• Knowledge of Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government Regulation 2021.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive collaboration and support to Council's Internal Audit Coordinator.
• Assist with internal audit tasks and raise awareness within Council.
• Meet organisational and legislative deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on governance matters.
