Job summary

Beechworth Health Services is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare, present and serve nutritious meals for residents and patients. The role requires adherence to food safety standards and person-centred care, with weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will work in a supportive healthcare dining environment offering salary packaging benefits, EAP, and a pro-rata 5 weeks annual leave.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification or demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Demonstrated experience in food preparation, cooking and meal service in healthcare/aged care hospitality or catering.
• Sound knowledge of food safety principles, infection prevention and control practices, allergen management and safe food handling.
• Current Food Safety Handler certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to prepare and present high-quality meals per recipes, menus and dietary requirements.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills for a fast-paced environment.
