Job summary

Millicent & District Hospital & Health Service, part of the Limestone Coast Local Health Network, is seeking a Gardener / Handyperson to maintain grounds and facilities. The role covers gardening, irrigation, minor repairs, painting and equipment upkeep to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patients and staff.

The position offers flexible hours within a 0.9 FTE arrangement, with 12% superannuation and salary sacrifice options. Driving may be required, and a current licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and grounds maintenance and the safe use of hand and power tools.
• Willingness to drive and hold a current driver''s licence.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and basic WHS principles.

Responsibilities

• Undertake groundskeeping and general maintenance duties including gardening, irrigation system maintenance, minor repairs, painting and equipment upkeep.
• Help maintain safe, functional and welcoming facilities for patients, residents, visitors and staff.
• Operate under the Facility Services Supervisor to contribute to the efficient operation of the health service.
