Job summary

South West Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance/Gardener to maintain gardens, grounds, and general facilities across Camperdown Hospital and Lismore campus. The role blends gardening, grounds maintenance, and light building tasks, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Based primarily at Camperdown Hospital with some duties at the Lismore campus, the role offers permanent full-time (80 hours per fortnight) with a monthly ADO, and part-time/casual

Qualifications

• Experience in gardening, landscaping, and plant care.
• General maintenance skills across a range of trades.
• Experience using, servicing, and maintaining gardening equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining gardens and grounds through planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, propagating, and leaf blowing.
• Servicing and maintaining gardening equipment and machinery.
• Undertaking a variety of general maintenance tasks, including minor painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, and HVAC maintenance.
• Helping ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-presented for everyone who uses them.

Position Details

• Classification: Handyperson (Unqualified) / Trade Assistant
• Salary: $59,282.60 per annum, pro rata + super
