Sherwood Overseas Co. Pty Ltd in Osborne Park, Perth is seeking a Part Time Financial Accountant with potential to move to Full Time. The role assists the Senior Accountant in financial management and administration, including property.

24–32 hours weekly, with FT consideration for the right candidate. Requirements include a Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent, post-study experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office and MYOB/Xero.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Preparation and approval of weekly payments runs.
• Reviewing coding, reconciling, entry and payment of Company Credit Cards.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Weekly Rental Schedules.
• Monthly Sales Reconciliation.
• Monthly Rent Statements.
• BAS preparation and lodgement.
• General Ledger schedules for Year End Files.
• Month end closing.
• Reconciliation and review of Accounts Payable and General Ledger at Month End.

Part Time Financial Accountant (Full Time can be considered)

This role will be to assist and report to the Senior Accountant in the financial management requirements of the business and administration roles, including property. The Financial Accountant role will be offered on a Part Time basis, hours to be negotiated, but approx 24-32 hours. Full time may be available for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation and approval of weekly payments runs
• Reviewing Coding, reconciling, entry and payment of Company Credit Cards
• Bank reconciliations
• Weekly Rental Schedules
• Monthly Sales Reconciliation
• Monthly Rent Statements
• BAS preparation and lodgement
• General Ledger schedules for Year End Files
• Month end closing
• Reconciliation and review of Accounts Payable and General Ledger at Month End

About you

• Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent
• Post study experience
• A keen eye for attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and handle competing priorities and deadlines
• Proficient in data entry and management
• Able to work as part of a team but also to work autonomously when required
• Maintain confidentiality
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Suite including: Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience in the use of Accounting Software packages e.g. MYOB and Xero
• Experience in wine industry and liquor would be unique
