Strata Community Association NSW is seeking a part-time Finance professional to manage the full accounting cycle, including payroll with STP, BAS and GST compliance. You will produce monthly reports, assist budgeting and work with external auditors, while supporting management with timely financial insights.

The role emphasizes autonomy, process improvements, and accuracy within a professional services/membership context. Flexible discussions on hours are encouraged.

Qualifications

• At least five years' relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience with end-to-end responsibility for the accounting cycle.
• Strong payroll experience, including STP and statutory obligations.
• Advanced working knowledge of MYOB and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience preparing monthly financial and management reports, reconciliations and BAS.
• Understanding of GST and Australian compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously.

Responsabilités

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including the general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Complete monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations, month-end processes and management reports.
• Assist with annual budgets, cash flow forecasting and financial analysis.
• Provide clear, accurate financial information to support management decision-making.
• Coordinate year-end financial preparation and work with external auditor.
• Manage end-to-end payroll, including STP, superannuation, payroll tax and related obligations.
• Maintain employee leave balances and payroll records.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and manage GST compliance.
• Manage invoicing, receipts, payments, reimbursements and overdue accounts.
• Review processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
