You will manage day‑to‑day accounting, month‑end processes, payroll, and project reporting, while improving finance processes and systems in a small team.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in financial accounting, strong Xero skills, and solid knowledge of Australian tax compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in an all-round financial accounting role.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting are essential.
• Strong experience using Xero.
• Solid understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting.
• Experience with GST and Australian tax compliance.
• Good understanding of intercompany accounting and financial processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day accounting functions.
• Preparing month-end reconciliations, reporting and financial information.
• Preparing and posting General Ledger journals.
• Managing banking and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly reporting packs for Projects.
• Processing payroll and reconciling payroll journals.
• Assisting with Accounts Payable and payment processes.
• Assisting with sales commission calculations.
• Supporting tax and audit requirements.
• Supporting statutory financial statements and audit schedules.
