Job summary

Randstad Australia is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for a 3-month contract in the Parramatta area. You will report to the CFO and focus on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance while assisting with a D365 BC implementation.

The role requires strong technical accounting skills, ERP experience, and effective stakeholder engagement to support the finance function and governance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards).
• Strong experience in financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 Business Central and advanced Excel.
• Excellent communicator and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Prepare BAS and FBT returns and assist with other tax compliance.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Perform financial reconciliations and analysis.
• Manage day-to-day finance operations across the team.
• Collaborate on improvements to financial systems and processes.
• Provide support with financial audits and regulatory compliance.

The finance team is prioritising process improvement, focused on BAU and implementation of Microsoft D365 Business Central implementation. This is a close-knit team and currently have a hybrid working arrangement (3 days at the Parramatta office/2 days WFH).

Role Description

Reporting to the CFO, your role will focus on financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, tax compliance, day-to-day finance operations, and assisting with the implementation of a new system - Microsoft D365 Business Central.

You will work collaboratively with the CFO and finance team to support the finance function, strengthen finance systems, governance and effective operations of the organisation.
